Dr. Howard P Manyonga

Dr. Howard Manyonga is the founder and managing director of iBioMedix Health Systems, a health management company which specializes in the design and delivery of health services.
He has held senior management positions in healthcare. He was COO of Marie Stopes International in South Africa and prior to that headed Women’s Health at the Wits Reproductive Health and HIV Institute. He has also served as a member of the National Department of Health Technical Working Group on Contraception and Fertility Planning.
iBioMedix Health Systems has a strategic partnership with PPO Serve that develops and implements affordable maternity and sexual and reproductive health services. Howard is the Executive Head of their first project, The Birthing Team that offers an all-inclusive global fee for maternity.
He graduated with MBChB from University of Zimbabwe, completed his specialist training in the UK and was awarded an MBA in 2009 by the University of Cape Town Graduate School of Business. His professional certification also includes the MRCOG (UK), the FCOG (SA) and the Certificate in Work Place Best Practices (Lean Management) by the Japan Association of Overseas Technical Assistance. He is married and has two children. He enjoys reading, road running and long distance driving.

Marion Smith who has grown up in Johannesburg, kicked off her career as an Aupair at the age of 18 years when she went to Aupair in America for a year in 1998. On returning to South Africa she began her career as a full time Aupair and went on to Aupair for no less than seven different families. When she could no longer increase her salary worth she entered the corporate recruitment world where she learnt her skills in recruitment. It was here that she decided she could merge the skills she had gained as both an Aupair and a recruiter and this is when the idea of Aupairs Exclusive was born. The business began at home in her lounge working from a laptop and a small desk over the years it slowly grew and with it came many achievements.
Other projects Marion has been involved in She become the National Chairlady of the South African Multiple Birth Association in 2011. She started off with assisting with the PR of the organisation and now manages the Facebook page as well the two Expectant Parents seminars that are held each year. Marion is the sole owner of the quarterly magazine Multiple Seasons that was started in 2012 and is targeted at parents of multiples. This is a one of a kind magazine in South Africa.
Jaydene Phillips is a qualified paramedic, paediatric emergency medicine specialist and executive member of Resuscitation Council of Southern Africa and owner of First Aid Counts. Her passion is educating parents and general public on the importance of CPR, Choking and First Aid specifically for children and infants.
As an expert in her field and dealing with paediatric emergencies during her career as a paramedic, Jaydene has developed an understanding and empathy for teaching parents and public without creating unnecessary fear when dealing with an emergency with their children or infants. Her quirky and interactive personality ensures all participants leave her courses feeling empowered and educated on the importance of early CPR and first aid basics. “I do not believe in scare tactics to get the importance of CPR, Choking or First Aid through to my moms, dads, grandparents or nannies. Any emergency regarding a child or infant can be scary and parents need to be educated on the importance of staying calm and knowing what to do. Knowledge is power”- Jaydene Phillips
